For the past five years, Afghan women and girls have continued to raise their voices through poetry, songs and diverse forms of creative resistance despite ongoing oppression.
On 10 August, poets from Afghanistan, Türkiye and Syria will come together in a multilingual online poetry reading to celebrate feminist solidarity.
The event is part of the #Power2AfghanWomen campaign and will also mark the opening of the international exhibition and digital platform “Connecting Voices, Strengthening Solidarity,” developed in collaboration with the Istanbul Gender Museum, Rawadari, Femena and YerGök Dayanışma Derneği.
